BORIS TADIC
Boris
Tadic was born on 15 January 1958.
He graduated from the Faculty of Philosophy, University of Belgrade
with a degree in Clinical Psychology.
He openly participated in the opposition activities under the communist
rule, for which he was arrested on several occasions.
He has been a member of the Democratic
Party since 1990. His previous party functions include the posts
of the Secretary to the Main Board and the Vice-President of the
Executive Board. He was an MP in the Serbian National Assembly and
a member of the Parliamentary Science & Technology Committee.
Boris Tadic is the Director of the Centre for Development of Democracy
and Political Skills. Over the past few years he has been working
on establishing a regional system for political education (in Serbia,
Republic of Srpska, Macedonia and Bulgaria), as well as on one within
the Democratic Party.
On the elections in September 2000, Boris Tadic was elected for
an MP in Federal Assembly. In November 2000, Boris Tadic became
Federal Minister of Telecommunications in new democratic Government
of FR Yugoslavia.
